I checked myself into a state mental hospital
Journal Entry: Sat Mar 1, 2008, 2:58 AM
i kept a journal
day 1: the woman at the reception desk strangely does not ask any questions when i told her i wanted to check in, she asks for my social security and insurance and told me to wait. I take a seat next to a fishtank. they bring me to a room and introduce me to a few doctors. everyone seems really nice.
day 2: my roommate plays a guitar that they allow him for some reason. he has mild schizophrenia and adhd. they also allow him crayons. he scribbles disturbing pictures and messages all over the guitar body, it rules.
day 3: my roommate does not talk. i find out his name is Jupiter through a game of twenty questions where playing a high note means yes and a low note means no. one of the girls here i recognize from high school, she told me that she was bisexual and had hepatitis. i did not ask.
day 4: there is no food, everyone is fed intravenously. i ask where the bathroom is, the Nurse assures me i wont need one from now on. She is right.
day 5: today is my interview with one of the doctors. the office is warm and comfortable. we talk about why i checked in.
day ???: I wake up on a bed in a tiny white brick room with a headache and no idea how i got there. i notice my shirt is on backwards and i have a weeks worth of beard. the door is locked. next to the barred window is a lemon. I am starving and havent eaten real food in a while so i eat the lemon, but it is just a lemon and doesn't make me any less hungry.
day ???+1: a doctor i dont recognize comes in to check my progress. "I see you eat the lemon" he says. he scribbles in a notepad for the next half hour, without saying another word and leaves. they move me to the maximum security wing.
day 12: i will do what the doctor says
day 13: i will do what the doctor says
day 14: I begine morphine treatment today.
day 15-24: illegible
day 25: a man from the search team came down tonight, i beat his head in with a pipe. adderall really helps you get work done.
day 26: The boiler room is a terrible place to hide. the steam is infuriating, thank god i cant feel pain. i hope doctor walsh is alright.
day 27: doctor walsh is dead.
day 28: im losing a lot of blood, i dont think i can stay conscious much longer. i give the last of the dried meat to jupiter, i know he is grateful even if he cannot show it anymore.
day 29: its my birthday today. some happy mother fucking birthday.
day 30: success - room 202 was left open last night. spoils include two bottles of adderall, and three bottles of lexapro and wellbutrin. just one bottle of xanax though.
day 31: I realized I don't really have any desire to post art on deviantart anymore, it seems counterproductive if no one will bash even the worst thing i put up.
day 32: its fun posting webcam images
day 33: my website owns
day 34: daagah owns
day 35: bye
